Strategic Fabrication was built on an unexpected friendship, a shared entrepreneurial mindset, and a few beers in a garage.
The story began when Jesse was away on business during his time working in corporate America. While he was gone, his dog Tucker escaped from the yard. Jesse’s neighbor, Tim Meyer, discovered Tucker along with a playful “ransom note” attached to the fence. When Jesse returned home and saw the note, he headed over to Tim’s house to pick up Tucker — and that simple interaction sparked what would become a lasting friendship.
The next day, Jesse and Tim met up in the garage for a few beers. As they talked, they realized they had more in common than they expected. Both were already running side businesses out of their garages — Jesse operated a machine shop, while Tim owned a welding business. Their shared work ethic, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial drive quickly aligned.
Before long, the conversation shifted from side projects to bigger ideas. Together, they decided to enter the structural construction and engineering industry, combining their skill sets to build something larger than either could alone. What started as a garage conversation between neighbors became the foundation of Strategic Fabrication.
Today, Strategic Fabrication celebrates over 15 years of combined business experience. From day one, Jesse and Tim have remained committed to reinvesting back into the company — continuously improving operations, expanding capabilities, and building a team and culture centered around quality, innovation, and long-term growth. What began with friendship and opportunity has grown into an amazing company built on hard work, trust, and vision.
